The most valuable aspect of the internship was gaining hands-on experience with the federal acquisition process from early market research through proposal development. Responsibilites included identifying opportunities in government databases, analyzing solicitations and acquisition strategies, researching incumbent contractors and competitors, assessing contract vehicles, reviewing evaluation criteria, supporting proposal compliance, and tracking opportunities throughout the business development lifecycle. This experience developed a strong understanding of how federal agencies acquire products and services and how contractors position themselves to compete successfully.
Provided interns with a more structured onboarding process, including clearly defined job responsibilities, expectations, and performance objectives. At times, it was unclear what tasks should be prioritized or how to proceed without specific direction. Having documented procedures, regular check-ins, and a defined training plan would help interns become productive more quickly and build confidence in their role.
This is a great company to work for. The CEO without saying has the mentality of \"People First\". She cares deeply for her employees and her business.

For CMMC- it would have been nice to take some training that deals directly with the assessor certification to set us up afterward with official training.
